FEATURED Sports Professional

I am not a parent of a student athlete.

But I work with them every single day.

I am a former student athlete myself, having played football at the University of Kansas, and today I serve as a Wealth Manager and financial literacy advocate. My work is centered around helping student athletes and former student athletes make smart decisions with money, navigate opportunities like NIL, and prepare for life beyond sports.

Over the years, one thing has become very clear…parents are trying to figure this out just as much as their kids.

The environment has changed.

Between college decisions, NIL opportunities, financial decisions, mental health, and long-term planning, there is more coming at families than ever before. And in many cases, there is no clear roadmap.

That is exactly why ParentsOfStudentAthletes.com exists.

I know my lane. My expertise is in wealth management and financial literacy. That is where I can provide the most value. But this space is bigger than just finances.

That is also why I created platforms like FinancialLiteracyForNIL.com and FormerStudentAthlete.com, both focused on helping athletes better understand their opportunities and navigate life during and after sports.

But parents need more than just one perspective.

They need insight from coaches, trainers, mental health professionals, former athletes, recruiters, and others who are actually working in this space every day.

That is why this platform is built the way it is.

This is a place where professionals across different areas can share their expertise to help parents of student athletes better understand what they are navigating. Not theory. Not generic advice. Real insight from people who are in it.

Each week, we will feature a sports professional.

Submissions are first come, first serve. Once I receive your email, you will be added to the list, and each week one perspective will be selected and featured on the site.

This “Featured Sports Professional” section is a key part of the platform. It gives parents the opportunity to hear directly from experts across the student athlete ecosystem. It also gives professionals a chance to share their knowledge, build credibility, and create meaningful visibility with an audience of parents who are actively looking for guidance.

If you are a professional who works with student athletes and want to contribute, I would encourage you to be part of it.

This is not meant to be overly formal or perfect. Just be real, be practical, and share insight that can actually help a parent make a better decision for their child.

A few quick guidelines:
• Aim for around 500 words
• Keep it concise and impactful
• You do not need to answer every question, use them as a guide
• Write in your own voice

Along with your submission, please include a photo. This can be a professional headshot or something that reflects your work. The goal is to put a face behind the perspective.

Once completed, send your submission and photo to:
info@parentsofstudentathletes.com
